Fancy announcement: Oxford St Design Store

Everyone please step away from your computer and do a little celebratory dance. A sweet little store named the Oxford St Design Store will be officially open tomorrow and will be carrying tea towels made by ta da da dah... me!

The Design Store is a concept store run by two lovely ladies (Alex and Lou) selling limited edition products from local artists and groups. There are all sorts of wonderful goodies including letterpress goodness from  The Hungry Workshop  and super cool objects from  Page Thirty Three . And if that's not enough, they are all under $20. That's right, everything will be super cheap, it is Alex and Lou's way to make designer products accessible to everyone.

At the moment, there are extremely limited amount of tea towels available so please get in quick. As we speak, I am in the middle of developing more designs with the aim of sending it to the printer by the end of this week. So hopefully there'll be a few more in the shop by the end of this month. Here is a sneak preview of what I am working on.

They are having a launch party tomorrow night from 6pm which I am really excited about. Head down there if you are around and don't forget to say hi.

Show us what you're made of

A lovely surprise arrived in the mail the other day. My copy of the latest Peppermint Magazine! I have always been a big fan of Peppermint, but this issue especially. Why you ask?

5 whole pages of the magazine are filled with illustrations made by me! The lovely girls at Peppermint have already told me about it when they first commissioned me, but I guess it never really hit you until you see the physical copy. They even did a little blurb on me in their front page. I'm definitely a spoilt little illustrator.

On a side note, I have finally opened my shop. You can visit it by clicking the shop button on your right. At the moment I am only offering custom illustrations, but will be adding some original art and some crafty goodness in the next couple of days. I hope you'll like it, and please pass it on to anyone who you think might be interested.

Only two more sleeps till the Google Exhibition opening. Do come along if you get the chance, I look forward to seeing you there.
