What are you optimistic about?

Date acquired: around 2010
Emotional worth: 4 stars

Haven't done a fancy for awhile. Found this book on my bookshelf the other day and thought it will be the perfect reading material to bring in the new year. It is a collection of ideas by leading thinkers from around the world on what they are optimistic about for the future. People are always complaining about what they don't have or wish they have or can become, so it's a breath of fresh air to read something a bit more optimistic and positive.

What are you optimistic about? I for one am hopeful with new friendships, new beginnings, new projects and opportunities. Thank you everyone for reading my blog and your lovely comments about my illustrations. I wish you all the best for the new year, see you in 2012.

  1. And a Happy New Year to you too. Let's see, what am I optimistic about? My eldest stepdaughter is newly pregnant - I'll be a grandmother at 38 - so that's pretty special for the whole family and I am pretty sure my second eldest stepdaughter will come home from New Years newly engaged. The phone is on in case she calls.

The Picasso exhibition wasn't my cup of tea - special to see the collection, don't get me wrong but I am not a Picasso enthusiast. The crowds weren't too bad. The sessions are staggered to ensure the viewing is not choked. You have to buy tickets and I bought mine online and picked my session time.

  4. I really adore how you illustrate the date and emotional worth! Being grateful and being in the present, just being optimistic about life. Things are simple, right? Why do we need to moan instead? Peculiar human beings... Happy new years hun!!!! Wishing you love & happiness in 2012 xxx
