Sewing fancy: Sweet as pie dress

Finally made a dress on the weekend, it was a super easy pattern from the Burdastyle magazine. I needed an easy win after the many sewing disasters I've had lately. The only alteration I've made was to extend the hem line by 5cm so it sits just above my knees. Slowly feeling a bit more confident with my sewing ability, really tempted to find a sewing class or circle to join to keep the motivation going. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

  1. Sweet dress! Well done for making it

  2. oh my gosh you look so adorable! i love that dress! too bad making dresses is so time consuming because i really want you to sell them!! haha!

    1. Aww thanks Caitlin. I'm still a novice, I don't even own an overlocker :) I'd love to make you a dress once I am more confident with my sewing. x

  3. Lovely frock! - with regard to sewing success and failure, I just dive in and have a crack, some successes, some failures but all learning experiences. I did a few sat classes at Tessuti in Surry Hills most mostly just teaching myself. If you want to start an inner west crafting/sewing circle let me know!
