Food fancy: Chicken and ginger dumplings

Made some home made dumplings for the first time. They were really scrumptious and super easy to make. I used store bought dumpling wrappers instead of making my own so the hardest part was chopping the ingredients into tiny morsels. You can get the recipe from  here .

And for those of you who are concerned with food and safety please look away. I thought I'll leave you with a picture of my kitchen helper Miso. He is not a fan of human food, but do love to keep me company while I'm chopping away on the chopping board. He loves sitting on top of the kitchen cabinet to spy on me while I cook.

On a side note, I have started introducing meat into my diet as I haven't been feeling well. This seems to happen to me all the time, I'll be fine as a vegetarian for a few years and all of a sudden I will get really sick and the doctor would advise me start eating a bit of meat. Any vegetarians out there with the same problem? What do you do to combat it?

    1. I thought it was going to be hard but it was actually pretty easy. Give it a try! If I can do it, anyone can. :)

  2. Dumplings look delicious and your kitty is so gosh darn cute!
I get the same thing. I feel fine when I'm a vegetarian, but as soon as I get sick and force myself to eat some meat I feel horrible. Stomach aches, headaches and general blah-ness. x

  4. That is one adorable kitty picture!
I'm a vegetarian and I rarely get sick, but I eat A LOT of beans and nuts, so maybe that helps because I'm getting a lot of protein that way. I don't know if that helps you or not, but that's what I do. :-)

  5. Hi - I regularly take an organic liquid iron supplement. I find this stopped all of my feeling weak, sick, headaches etc. episodes. I take the one by Blooms. If you didn't want to take it regularly, I find it helps to take around the time that you're having your period.
