Working from home
I've started a new job this week, and one of the perks of this new job is the ability to work from home. I have worked from home before in my previous roles, but staying at home everyday would be a first. I am still trying to settle into a routine, I'm not very good at taking breaks or telling myself to stop for the day. I'm afraid if I don't get into a rhythm soon, I will burn out pretty quickly.
One thing I have started is to make sure I get dressed and have a proper breakfast each morning. Are there any bloggie friends out there who works from home? Love to hear some of your tips.

first off, carmen - that is one heck of an adorable pic! second, i think that's the best idea to be sure to get dressed and eat breakfast. i would also be sure to work in an area of your place that is designated as your 'work' space so that you can 'leave it' by a certain time. i would also stick to a schedule of breaks and lunch to ensure you treat yourself fairly. congrats on the new job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Caitlin! It's my second week now, I'm slowly getting used to it. I have a little office area upstairs which has been great. I don't yet have a comfy office chair, all the ones I've seen so far are super ugly and I can't bear the idea of forgoing style over comfort....
ReplyDeletesuch a pleasure to work from home, but lots of challenges and distractions too. i have to take a shower in the morning to start my days right. I also make lots of lists... congrats on the new job!
